This disc mulcher features an adjustable tree pusher bar to simplify material positioning. The center of gravity is placed close to the skid steer for a well-balanced design and more stable operation. You can easily monitor the machine's performance through the on-board instrumentation. 

The Bad Ax uses anti-wrap bearing protection to prevent material from entering the bearing chamber. The integrated anti-cavitation shutdown circuit helps protect the motor during shutdown.

Radial Piston High-Pressure Motor – The radial piston high-pressure motor provides instant torque at start-up for fast recovery times. It requires 30-50 GPM up to 5,000 PSI and 70-120 hydraulic horsepower.

Fully Machined Disc – The Bad Ax can cut down trees up to 14" in diameter using a 60" diameter disc. The fully machined disc is 1.25" thick, made of premium-strength steel, and contains no welds, so there are no points subject to stress cracking. 

The large Bad Ax disc builds up its own inertia during use, pushing its productive force beyond the maximum hydraulic horsepower. This helps it more quickly gather and process vegetation. It has a 200 MPH tip speed at up to 1,100 RPM.

Recutter Bar – The Bad Ax uses a recutter bar with stationary counter teeth to hold material in place while it is being mulched. This unique design allows the Bad Ax to cut material into finer particles for faster decomposition and produce a nicer-looking end product. It also helps avoid log jams in the chamber, which can be extremely difficult to remove in competitive units.

Bolt-On Replaceable Teeth & Tooth Mounts – Quadco 4-Point beaver teeth are attached to the mulching disc using bolt-on mounts. This design makes the teeth easy to rotate, replace, and remove while on the jobsite. Additionally, the bolt-on mounts can be replaced in the field without cutting, welding, or rebalancing the rotor.

Quadco 4-Point Beaver Teeth – Constructed of heat-treated steel, the reversible beaver teeth have 4 points for aggressive performance.

Bearing Anti-Wrap Protection – A precisely designed labyrinth ring helps keep debris from entering the bearing chamber.

Controlled Discharge Deflector – The discharge deflector directs material down and away from the machine, helping to protect the equipment and operator. Unlike competitive hinged designs, the Bad Ax uses a rigid deflector for better discharge control.

Specialized Housing Design – The sides of the Bad Ax housing are parallel. This design provides better control than funnel- or V-shaped disc mulchers, which can be easily misdirected when hooking onto stumps or other solid objects. Additionally, the front of the housing is angled, allowing the teeth to mulch at ground level.

Adjustable Tree-Pusher Bar – Made with welded claw hooks, the bar pushes falling trees away from the power unit and to position material for proper feeding into the mulching disc. Unlike other disc mulchers, the Bad Ax pusher bar can be adjusted to meet jobsite needs.

Pressure Gauge – Easily monitor the workload from the skid steer cab with the rubber-mounted pressure gauge.

Anti-Cavitation Shutdown Circuit – An integrated anti-cavitation shutdown circuit protects the motor during shutdown.
